Hi All,
Thanks for posting these member blogs - I have some answers to a couple of questions.
1. I play two guitars typically in a set. I rotate between my COLLINGS OM-1 and my GIBSON which I keep in standard tuning. Then I have my MARTIN 000-15 that I keep in DADGAD tuning. The Martin is the one pictured on the cover of UNGLAMOROUS.
2. Someone was asking about a song title - I have been performing an un-recorded song called "HOW ROMANTIC IS THAT" at some of the Trisha Yearwood shows. I'm pretty sure this song will be on the next record.
3. The KITCHEN TAPES are no longer in print. But you can download the entire record on iTunes.
4. I get asked a lot about the song "MAKE EVERY WORD HURT" - that song didn't make UNGLAMOROUS because I wrote it after we were finished in the studio. SO - next record. Until then, Mark and I will keep singing it at shows.

Thank you Lori!
Thanks for the clarifications, Lori!! I read an article online that said that Faith Hill ended up recording 'Make Every Word Hurt' for her upcoming studio album, and that the song was also pitched to Martina McBride but she was looking for a "perkier" song and passed on it. It also said that at that point Faith wanted to record it so no one else got it! ;-) Not sure if this is true or not, but it's very exciting! You've got Nashville drooling all over your songs....you probably can't write them fast enough! haha! ;-)
As always, thank you for your amazing music. You continue to amaze me! ;-)

So I ran as fast as I could
Through the tall grass and the midnight woods...
So nobody would sing
Some bible song over me...

new songs
I have been a fan since 2003 and I'm glad that you're finally coming to NC! Tonight will be my first chance to hear you in person, in Carrboro NC. I can't wait, and look forward to the songs I haven't heard yet like "MAKE EVERY WORD HURT".
Guitar strings
I love your sound, especially on your Martin. I have the same model Martin which is my favorite guitar to play. I was wondering what kind of strings you use and if you made any changes to the guitar.
I can't wait to see you in AC next month!
God bless.
